Located on 4 Nguyen Thiep – District 1 (not far from the Rex Hotel), a friend from Canada who was working in Vietnam introduced this place to me must be about 10 years ago now. Although there may other Vietnamese restaurants in the city as good, I doubt there are any better. One of my first stops whenever I touch down in HCM is head there for the seafood soup - its unbelievable. Other items on the menu that I recommend are the fresh spring rolls (NOT deep fried), the squid salad and the grilled lean beef that they serve with mint leaves and other condiments that you roll up in lettuce and dip in a tasty sauce. Its located in the alley behind Brodards cafe - or just ask your hotel concierge, its extremely well known (RSVP as its often fully booked)
