Is anyone out there going through as rough a time as I am with menopause?I go through terrible mood swings at times.Unsympathetic friends who seem to breeze through theirs try to make it out that it's all in the mind.I can assure you that I've always been a cheerful person but the teary feelings of late is for real.Anyone out there been through HRT and recommends it?
Thanks.

Hi there, yes, your not alone in this. Am sorry your having such a tough time. I have not gone the HRT route as I am scared of the after effects. So I looked into Chinese medicine. I have had excellent results, using the menoease pills from the Chinese Pharmacy, EU YAN SANG, which are available over the counter, and taking Evening Primrose Oil, and taking soya milk daily, ( yuk I know, but the vanilla flavour is much better) Also, I consulted a Chinese Dr, and have a weekly qi gong treatment, to help balance the body. As with everything, it may or may not work for you, but you have nothing to loose. Best wishes and good luck

Thanks, sandiexxxx.I've tried alternative medicine but I did not have much luck so that's the reason I'm desperate.Even HRT is starting to look good even though the side effects are there. It's a balance between quality of life or quantity,I suppose.

Please don't do HRT! Long term affects are cardiac problems. I knew a lady who had a very unstable heart rhythm due to HRT and specialists couldn't regulate the heartbeat. I'd suggest you let your body do what is natural for it to overcome menopause. I know it's hard, but using HRT can be dangerous.

hi Delightful, I am sorry that you have not had much success with alternative medicine. I do agree with bkworm, HRT can be very dangerous. Please would you reconsider, and give it another chance. Alternative medicine does take some time to ''kick in'' If you would like the name of my Chinese Dr, he is very knowledgeable, and very sympathetic, and may just be able to help you. Just send me a personal message for his number. take care and my very best wishes,

Hi Delightful,
my mom went through the same experience,HRT did help her in stabilizing her mood. But i dont know about the aftereffects as bkworm has mentioned above.
i think the best way is to see a good doctor.

Not only you? I had my menopause few years ago, I experienced hot flashes (this one sometimes, I just feel dizzy and the feeling is unexplainable) I lost interest in bedroom activities, the libido was really gone. But I do not know for others, but I just feel this way....Luckily, my husband is so understanding. My husband considered HRT and I asked the doctor and the doctor said it depends and must have a thorough check up , but I read many articles about it w/side effects, so just like BKWORM suggested, just let your body overcome it naturally. I am taking supplements like calcium and Omega 3 and vitamin E.
