Need Advice urgently or any related info...........
my daughter has been diagnosed with ealry puberty symptoms and suspected to have her periods at this age (8-9years).
i was told that nowdays there are sort of medicines or injections available that can delay the mensutral process.
i would like to know whether anyone of you has experienced thier daughters going through early puberty ? like at the age of 8 years or 9 years having periods.
would like to know the pros and cons of it.
any comments. open to all sorts of advices really...
thanks in advance. i am really anxious.......to know
I have no experience with this but I feel for you. My daughter is just about to turn 8 and I can't imagine her having her period at this age. The only thing I can recommend is to speak to another Dr to get a second opinion. Dr David Stirling is located in Central. He is a very experienced doctor who I'm sure would be able to give you sound advice. I wish you all the best. I really hope you get the answers you are looking for. Take care.
Hi! my daughter have her first period when she was 9,i was expecting it already coz she's big at her age..it's okay..nothing to worry..just explain to her, what to do and what to expect if you have menstrations.have a nice day:)
It's more common now. No one knows why. Theories include better nutrition and "hormones" in our processed food. There are hormone blockers that you can inject, but there are huge potential risk and I doubt that any pediatric endocrinologist would recommend it given her age.
