URGENT: MUST LEAVE TOMORROW

Need to leave HK tomorrow night for family emergency. My visa has expired. Have been talking to Immigration Dept about permanent residency which I'm entitled to. Am married to a local girl too. My question is this: since i cannot go to Immigration tomorrow, will my PR application be prejudiced by me leaving? Visa extensions, need to be signed off first I think. PLS help.

Hi there,

I am not an expert in this..but can tell you from my own experience..My husband had to leave Hk when his visa papers not permanent were being applied ( I as his wife was in HK )... He went to immigration and spoke to the officer explaining the sitaution...Officer asked the hubby to write a letter to the Immigration, stating the exact scenerio....and thsi worked..no problems ..u can try this..call / visit the immigration dept

I believe HK immigration should be able to give you an temperory extension. Please check with the Immigration.
